Has anyone else started their decorating for the holidays? I put the lights up on my house a couple weeks ago, and purchased my Christmas tree this weekend. I wanted a tall one, but actually got big-and-tall (think Ham Luschbaum). It's nearly 9' tall, and fans out at the bottom to be as big as my dining room table! I have 1,000+ white lights on it, and put about 1/3 of my Christmas ornaments on last evening. More to come tonight...
Hope you're all doing well as the end-of-year approaches!
Jim

I have started to decorate my home. At the moment I have Christmas curtains (sic) and some Christmas lights. The picture below is taken from my livingroom's windowsill.

Here's another detail. My latest "toy", Aarikka's Helistäjä Pakkanen ("Jingling Frost") table decoration.

I am exhausted, having cleaned the apartment and then going up to the attic to get all our Christmas stuff and then decorate the whole apartment.
Now it's done and it looks great. Something new from last year that I like a lot is that even the bathroom has a bit of a decoration. We have a nice candle in a Christmas themed cup that you canb buy in stores and we now use gingerbread scented soap. When we run out of that, we have candy cane scented soap!

What could be nicer than a clean and decorated apartment! I'm still looking forward to clean my apartment, though I'm not going to spend my Christmas here at home. A clean, fresh home gives me a festive mood. Are you going to have a real Christmas tree or a plastic one?

I put up some white lights and garland outside along the fence. We plan to get a live tree for indoors on Saturday. Even my jeep gets a wreath of live greens, pine cones, a red ribbon and little blinking Christmas lights- It looks so cute and festive on the front grille!

Are there any possibilities to see some pictures of your Winter Wonderland? ...Not that I'm a nosy-parker or anything related...

Yay! Maybe I should mail you some snowflakes, though I still remember the instructions given to Rose: just don't send water, envelopes leak.

Too much hassle with a real tree since none of us have a car.

Didn't get our tree yet as it rained and rained most of the weekend. But we have a little bit of Christmas spirit going! Attachments:

I had a big Christmas party last night. Fifty people came and went. Alot of work but a lot of fun. I bought an artificial tree about a month ago on spec to see if it lived up to its claim that it only took 1 minute to set up. It was also half price. I assembled it last night for the party and it was amazing! Literally a minute....I've decided to keep it and get rid of my old horrible one. It's prelit - no more struggling with lights! I'll take a pic and post it later.

Love the look of the Jeep, gerfluken!
Looking forward to seeing pics of the 1-minute tree, sounds like a great thing to have.

A one-minute tree? That doesn't sound like something Blanche would enjoy!
I can only imagine a party at Ian's house. Sounds like fun!!
