I really like the Empty Nest one even though I know many people hate it. Some of the scenes involving the girls were really funny *Blanche talking about college professors looking up her skirt and her smelling their "maleness"*.
Plus I really like the family dynamic between the wife and husband, too bad Empty Nest didn't use the same central characters because I really enjoyed them. The only thing I didn't like about the episode was the obnoxious brother who peed into Dorothy's punch bowl. He was very annoying.

Hmmm... interesting question. I had a hard time believing some of the activities and timelines of the girls in a few episodes. The one where Sophia plays chess (or was it checkers) by mail with her friend in Sicily. The letters seemed to come day after day - even though they had to travel across the globe and back to play.
Hopefully we'll hear more from our followers...

I really liked the Empty Nest episode too. Ive never actually watched the spinoff series but it was interesting to see an episode that focused on one of their neighbors instead of the girls themselves kind of like that episode of The Nanny that focused on the struggling actress whom Fran helped get a job at the beauty parlor.
Also I hated The Golden Palace and I understand why it flunked but I did like the one episode where Blanche wanted to display the rebel flag for the Daughters of the Confederacy and the hotel manager (I forget his name) had to explain to her exactly why the flag was offensive to him. It's not about putting The South down because like he said The North is just as equally racist it's about the fact that a lot of racist people really do like to show that flag off just like the Nazi Flag. As someone who comes from Georgia and is against racism I can really appreciate the message in that episode and I don't care what people try to say racism is and always will be an issue.
