It's amazing to believe that 25 years ago this week Golden Girls left the airwaves. It was Saturday, May 9, 1992 when NBC aired the one-hour finale.
The final few moments were definitely an example of the friendship and love we all hope to have as we get older.
Over the last 25 years we have seen The Golden Girls...
Oh, and we have this forum and our friendships to thank and celebrate because of the series.
Sadly, only Betty White is still with us... a few of the original guest stars are still living, including Bill Dana (Uncle Angelo), Debra Engle (Rebecca Devereaux) and more.
I'd love to hear how you recall the final episode - do you remember watching it in 1992? Do you feel the program provided a solid conclusion? Perhaps you could share some of your memories with us about how you've enjoyed the program for the last quarter century (or as Blanche would say, "Share with me, Chester!").
For most people The Golden Girls may be just another show, but for many people it's a special place to laugh and remember. That's certainly the case for me...
Thank you for being a friend!
