I've been watching tv through Hulu for a few months now and I have mixed feelings about it. Wondering what others think of it. And my main question- has anyone seen the series on hulu called The Booth at the End? I'm obsessed and in love with it! I wasn't all that impressed with the first few scenes yet somehow I became captivated by it and it's star, who's name is escaping me, but who I now can't get enough of! There are only 2 seasons of Booth at the End currently on Hulu and I'm anxiously awaiting more! I have to know where "the man" comes from!

Never been a big fan of these services. I think it's too convenient for my taste, which is one of the main reasons I don't download movies or shows. Unfortunately, I think it's these services that will help end the physical format such as DVD's & Blu-ray in the end, which for me as a collector is something I dread.

Nougi, I've been using Netflix for a few years and have found it a great and inexpensive way to discover new genres of movies and tv shows I might not have seen otherwise. For instance last summer we watched Seven Samurai, which I had never seen, and then ended up watching every Akira Kurosawa movie Netflix had. Then we switched to Korean directors, then Federico Fellini, etc. It was fun! I'm not much of a movie collector like Little Sven (buying books is my weakness) so the netflix/streaming option is appealing to me. I'm just getting into the whole streaming thing-we recently cancelled our cable tv service because it was getting so expensive. We were only watching a handful of shows with any regularity and I hated paying so much for a service we used so little. So for now, we're using a Roku and have subscriptions to netflix, hulu and acorn.
I hope that streaming and dvds can continue to co exist though- the extra features, commentaries and director's cuts are a must for movie lovers!

Netflix is about $7-8/ month and Hulu Plus is (I believe) $4.99/ month.....I was too lazy to look up the exact figures (they're on auto-pay so I tend to forget).....We bought a Roku that hooks up to the tv and use it upstairs. We stream through the x-box downstairs. I got the first Verizon bill since canceling the cable (we had cell phones, internet and cable bundled together) and it's about $100 cheaper now. Don't miss cable tv so far......
