For me some of the best concerts I've been attending during my life so far are:
Madonna (twice in Helsinki) Depeche Mode (in Helsinki) Suede (especially in London 2010) The Cure (in Sweden and in Germany, late 90's) Sex Pistols (in Helsinki) Duran Duran (in London)

I think the only artist I've ever seen live in concert is Lionel Richie back in 2007. Loved it!

It's been awhile since I've been to a concert... but there still is nothing like being 12th row at Billy Joel's retirement tour in December 1999. I don't think I could talk for the two days after - I had sang/yelled so much that I completely lost my voice.

Neil Diamond is coming to Indianapolis in April 2015. I have a few friends who wanted to go see him, and I could get advance tickets through my credit card company.
The **cheap** seats were $100 each, with taxes and "service fees," and the good seats were double that. To spend $800 for four friends for a night was a bit ridiculous. We are going to karaoke "Sweet Caroline" instead.
I also wanted to see Fleetwood Mac (with the full team), but those tickets are even more ridiculous. Concert DVD, here I come.
Are ticket prices for concerts just going through the roof? Or, am I getting old and crotchety?

I used to go to concerts like 2 or 3 times a month. Was mostly underground or unknown artists and still really is. I just saw Ashley Poole a few weeks ago. She was in a girl group called Dream. The whole thing was amazing because Dream was the very first concert I went to back in 2001.
There have been a lot of concerts since then and my music taste is so varied. A few that stand out..
Jewel (I think about 10 times between 2002-2013) Toby Lightman (I think also about times between 2006-2014) FeFe Dobson The Veronicas Lesley Roy Juliet Simms Goo Goo Dolls Celtic Woman Weird Al Augustana
There are a ton that I am forgetting. I really intend to update this list at some point.

I am sitting at Third and Lindsley, a bar in Nashville, Tennessee. In a couple hours this band - The Time Jumpers - will be taking the stage. I have enjoyed their music for years, and looking forward to just begging out and enjoying the experience. What do you think of their music?

I saw Bette Midler on television recently... she has definitely been able to maintain her voice through the years.
There are rumors of a "Hocus Pocus" sequel - I would love that!

I think there's more than rumours Jim. Bette had her Hocus Pocus costume on and the set changed to HP during a few songs during her tour - I think they're definately doing it.

I'm not gonna probably see U2, The Stones, Fleetwood Mac etc. again, so in my mind, I think it's worth it. My friend also gets us pretty good seats so I'm usually satisfied. Bette wanted $300 for some close seats...that seems crazy.

Last night I saw John Popper and Blues Traveler. Nice show, but I'm glad I didn't pay for the ticket. They had good energy, but Popper's voic is suffering after years of hitting high notes and other abuse.
They performed an outdoor concert, and it was a beautiful night... Good friends, good food and music. Hard to beat that!
