It has been a terrible week for Hollywood Legends. Sophia: You've always had he elegance of a young Lauren Bacall. Dorothy: Thank you, Ma. Gee, a young Bacall! Sophia: 60 years old and she still falls for that Young Bacall bit. Dorothy: I heard that.

I LOVED her in The Big Sleep. The movie itself confuses the crap out of me, trying to follow all the ins and outs and who's who. But Lauren Bacall absolutely smoldered in that movie! Her chemistry with Humphrey Bogart was as hot as anything you see on the big screen now. Wowie wow wow wow!

She was breathtaking in How to Marry a Millionaire alongside with Marilyn Monroe. Yes, that is a great film. I can't imagine any actresses today taking such a role... It's the talent that generation of Hollywood that we will likely never see again.
