While I am not a fan of Joan rivers, I would never wish ill will on someone. Her humor was not funny to me, and she grew crueler as the years went on. She was funny many years ago, and did break barriers for women. But her last few years were just too much.

I used to think that way, but after meeting her in August 2011 I gained a whole new respect for the woman. Meeting her after a particularly caustic set (which I thoroughly enjoyed for what it's worth) she was simply so warm and kind. It was such a stark contrast to the woman on stage I became completely fascinated and began to look deeper into her work.
