I have a Roku, so I get some streaming channels (rather than all cable/satellite offerings). I found out this weekend I could get Turner Classic Movies - TCM - for an extra $5/month (and a few other movie channels in the package). I'm excited for some classic Hollywood offerings to come.

Last weekend I saw My Afternoons with Margueritte (La tête en friche, 2010). I think it was quite good. I loved the way the film is using the literature of Western canon as a part of the plot.

Anyone here saw CREED? (Rocky 7) I've found 3 trailers online and I have to say it really made me feel like going to my local theater to discover the entire movie. I can't believe the first Rocky is 41 already! CREED's boy is about to become a great fighter I'm pretty sure of that and as Apollo used to say to Rocky : Remember you fight great but I'm a great fighter!

I have never been a "Rocky" fan, Nougi. The new movie looks good - especially if Mrs. Huxtable is in it!

Going to see Creed opening day in Sweden on February 5th, huge Rocky and Stallone fan. Not sure I told you guys this, all those years ago, but for Rocky Balboa in January 2007, I dressed up as Rocky the way he looked in parts 1, 2, 5 & 6. Hat, leather jacket, black jeans, gloves where the fingers are only covered half way. I also had a T-shirt printed with "Win Rocky Win" and the Swedish premiere date on the back of it. Hell, I even had a bouncing ball! Will be putting up the exact same "suit" on this premiere.

In light of Gene Wilder's passing, I recently rewatched " Young Frankenstein." Such a great movie, especially when Cloris Leachman enters a scene.

Watched Sully a few weeks ago at the cinema. Good movie, nothing great. Stellar work by Hanks and Eastwood.

Rewatched the three Bourne movies with the intent of getting to theatre to see the latest one... well, we screwed that up. LOL. Guess we'll wait for the DVD.

Was supposed to see the new Jack Reacher movie today, got my mom to babysit and all. Guess what? The servers for ALL cinemas of the biggest chain in Sweden were off, so those of us who hadn't bought a ticket in advance couldn't see a movie all night. Again, in ALL of Sweden. That's technology for you! My wife and I were pissed, we've been waiting for that movie for almost four years now. Complaint sent!

I watched Vertigo the other day. It was on BBC 2. Never seen it before and I really enjoyed it. I've got Marnie on my planner. I'll watch that over the weekend.

I went to see The Girl on the Train. It was more than OK, and Emily Blunt's acting was brilliant.

I saw Star Wars: Rogue One a few weeks back. I was pleasantly surprised by the film. Despite knowing the ending, it was a great battle film and touched on some classic moments in the Star Wars trilogy. Plus, seeing the CGI Carrie Fisher in the last moments was pretty amazing.
