Have you picked up a DVD or Blu-Ray of your favorite flick?

I've purshased August Osage County starring Meryl Streep & Julia Roberts I've been trying to see it for so long as I missed it in theaters! I can't wait to see it as I remember Julia Roberts as Erin Brockovich she was fabulous in the drama and Meryl streep was unforgettable in The Bridges Of Madison County!!
Anyone saw August Osage County?

Picked up The Platoon and Days of Thunder earlier this week. Platoon I've already seen, it's one of my favorite war movies. Haven't seen Days of Thunder yet, though. I never was a big fan of Tom Cruise but in recent years he's won me over with the awesome movies he's been making.

I suspect this is going to be a busy topic for me, as I buy probably somewhere around 10-20 movies a month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I'm up to about 1400 movies at the moment. I have a hard time believing I ever had so few movies as I did just 4-5 years ago. I remember posting a picture on the other forum where I had just ONE IKEA Billy bookcase, where I had both my movies and TV-shows. These days I have SIX of those Billy bookcases. In two of them I store movies by my favorite actors, on three of them I have various movies, divided into genres and on the sixth and final bookcase I have my TV-shows. I soon need another bookcase for my various movies and one for my TV-shows as well.

Finally got a blu ray player last month (yay!) and am slightly embarrassed to share that the first (and so far only) disc i've bought is the Diagnosis Murder movie collection. Little Sven, i think I may need a little help getting my movie collection started!

Diagnosis Murder has gotten a Blu-ray release? That's pretty impressive! Old TV-shows usually don't get the Blu-ray treatment.

I bought the complete collection of Bruce Lee's Hong Kong movies yesterday, including Game of Death II/Tower of Death, which isn't really a Bruce Lee movie at all.
It's on DVD in a nice little box set of five discs, only cost me 8 bucks, new! Crazy. Anyway, I only bought it because I just can't wait to get my hands on the Blu-ray set by Shout Factory that I ordered last week. It could take weeks to get here and I've been aching for some Bruce Lee goodness for quite a while!

Talking of old TV-shows, I'm hoping Pacific Station was released on DVD. I mean, c'mon, it's been 23 years already...
*sigh*

A nice little package from Amazon arrived recently with Escape from New York, Tango & Cash and a documentary about Bruce Lee called I Am Bruce Lee.

Well, movies (and TV-shows) has always been my biggest passion/interest in life. Nothing I love more than watching a good movie.

Got some classics on Blu-ray in the mail today!
Red Sonja Commando Raw Deal Red Heat Cobra The 6th Day
These are movies with Stallone and Arnold that I had on VHS that I never got around to re-buy on DVD, so I jumped on the Blu-rays instead.

There was a thread about the same subject in Couch Potatoes, wasn't there? I remember vaguely seeing pictures of Sam's DVD's on bookshelves. Or was it only about the Golden Girls DVD's? Cannot remember properly anymore.
