Seemingly suffering a slump in my own head, like I can't get the energy to do or think anything.

Today I'm proud to introduce to everyone here, my unborn son: He's due July 14th, which apparently is Bastille Day (Nougi!). We've been very low key about it until fairly recently. Can't believe my son is already two years old and we're getting another one!

Sad! I've just read about Erin Moran's passing! She was only 56. RIP Joanie and thanks for everything! Happy Days is one of my top 10 shows as everybody knows here so it's a shock, I'm speechless!
BTW congrats Anders Daddy for the second time on Bastille Day how neat!!!

So good to see you, Nougi! I do hope you'll pop in more frequently.
A relatively calm weekend after a very busy work week. We hosted a "business expo" that last year had ~60 participating businesses. This year we had over 90, and a HUGE crowd in attendance. It went well overall (some minor hiccups) but I think the staff and participants were all very excited for the event.

I don't login very often lately guys let me explain why : Being in a wheelchair all day is becoming harder and harder for me to stand. I have a bad back, it's very painful so I don't feel very cheerful... I often feel magenta and haven't watched any TV shows in ages. I get the feeling all my fave tv shows stars are passing away one after another, most of them are way too young to die : Gary Coleman for instance and now Erin Moran...

Nougi - I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with pain. I knew about the wheelchair, but I assumed you had a desk for your computer. Regardless, please know you have been missed and anytime you stop by it is appreciated. I think you've summed up why our forum has slowed down so much - we are down to our last Golden Girl. Hopefully Betty lives forever... As long as she has her health. All the best to you, Nougi!!

Thanks so much Jim yes I have a desk for my computer I even bought an external keyboard for iPad a few years ago but bad storage in a drawer made some kind of rusty liquid come out of the 2 batteries I inserted to connect the keyboard via Bluetooth. They damaged it very badly. I should have taken the 2 batteries out of the keyboard before the storage... I had to call the thing garbage I've learned my lesson but haven't bought another one yet!

I can't remember the last time I logged in here but possibly over a year ago. Life has been challenging for me and my online time is significantly reduced. I won't go into the long story (as it's very long) but last September my Mam became seriously ill and was rushed into Intensive Care in hospital suffering from Sepsis. Her kidneys were failing and they thought they may have to start dialysis but thankfully they managed to recover things overnight. After 3 weeks in hospital she was all set to come home but took another turn where her kidneys started failing again. Then she developed pneumonia which again prolonged her stay. Then one day after I just got home from visiting her, the hospital doctor called me at home to say she had deteriorated and was in critical condition again - she'd had a pulmonary embolism so we rushed to be with her and the hospital let us stay with her as long as we wanted. Miraculously she recovered from that, then needed to have surgery on her foot that developed a life-threatening infection. She was told she may need to have her leg amputated if the surgery to save it failed - thankfully the surgery DID save it but she's got one of those huge moon-boots on and we still have to visit the hospital twice a week to have her dressings changed. After 4 months in hospital she finally came home late January and I'm her full-time carer which is quite a change of career for me but wouldn't have it any other way considering I never thought (twice) that she would be coming back home at all. I hope to check in more often but can't promise anything, but just thought I'd update you all on my lengthy stay-away Hope everyone is well.

Sam - you've definitely had your share of things in recent years. Thank you for sharing about your mother, and I hope there are many, many better days ahead. You know the door is always open here. You and Stephen are genuinely missed here. While things are much quieter than they Hey-Day of Couch Potatoes, our little band of fans still pop in and catch up on things. There isn't much GG activity these days (although there was a fair amount of Twitter action on the 25th anniversary of the finale), but I'm not giving up the ship just yet. Lots of happiness to you and your family... Jim
