It's early July, and we had to get sweatshirts out for Independence Day (July 4). Hopefully the weather stays nice, and not brutally hot over the next couple months.

It's been painfully hot in Sweden over the past week, which has made it unbearable here at home, too. Thankfully today has been pretty cool, it even looks like it's about to start raining, which is much needed.

It's toasty here in Indiana... But a polar vortex is coming through next week. Should knock the temps to 50s-70s for a few days.
I'm ready for a good summer storm - dark skies, rain, thunder, etc. A nice afternoon/evening for reading and vegging.

I love storms! So cosy. Nothing better than a storm on a summer night.
Is it Indiana, Pennsylvania you are from, Jim?

Ah, I see. Almost got excited there for a while, thinking you lived in the hometown of America's most beloved actor, James Stewart.

Woke up to rumblings of thunder and the occasional flash of lightning. Glad it's a day when I don't have to go to work, but would have enjoyed sleeping in a bit past 5:30am.

Little Sven, I went to college in Indiana, Pennsylvania back in the day.....There's a big statue of James Stewart in front of the court house. It was a cute little town, the county seat, though not much to do from the perspective of a poor18-year-old college student with no car (very rural area). But to stay on topic, it's been a pretty pleasant summer in northern Delaware so far. We've had unusually low humidity for the most part for this time of year, though lots of thunder storms. Usually by now every day is hot, muggy and sticky. I've been able to keep the a/c off and the windows open during the day. It's been great for the electric bill!

Some parts of Sweden have had storms over the past two days. Not us. Noooo, we're stuck with this awful heat that won't go away!

The weather has been more mild here these past few days, but still scorching hot by our standards. Apparently, the super-hot temperature is on its way back to us. I'm waiting for that storm everyone has been talking about to hit us and relieve some of this awful heat and humidity.

The heat wave is over in Sweden, thank God! It's been raining for a few days now and I love it! It will get hot again on Wednesday and a few days after that, but nowhere near the heat we experienced earlier.

It's flippin hot in Indiana. 91 degrees earlier today.
My kickball team had practice this afternoon, and it was toasty. Then I came home and push-mowed for an hour. Just took a cool shower and trying to (literally) chill out.
