Is anyone here a fan of Full House, from the 1980s-90s? This was part of ABC-TV's TGIF line-up for a long time. The three guys - Danny, Uncle Jesse and Uncle Joey - were raising Danny's kids DJ, Stephanie and Michelle. Wholesome television, and it has never really gone off the air. This week Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) announced that Netflix will be offering a 13-episode series/spin-off called Fuller House. It will feature DJ, Stephanie and their neighbor Kimmy Gibbler. The hype for the show is getting nuts... I was never a big fan of the show, but my sister and her friends all were (and still) dedicated to it.

I have season 1 on DVD but don't watch the show very often eventhough I used to watch when it was aired on TV. I'm a fan of shows from the 80's in general and I think Bob Saget is cute! So why not some more episodes?!

Very weird news as this show is looked upon as one of the worst cutesy family sitcoms of all time.
I haven't watched it in years so I don't know how good it is compared to other classics like The Cosby Show and such.

Then you seem to have missed all the jokes about the show and references to its overly cutesy tone over the years. The 80's and to some extent the 90's were filled with shows like this that haven't aged well at all. Married... With Children and Roseanne started the trend of dysfunctional family sitcoms that changed things for the format.

Will you guys be watching The Unauthorized Full House Story on Lifetime at the end of the month? I'd like to know more about why the heck John Stamos wanted to fire Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. He said it was because they used to cry too much so it was really hard for the team to tape a scene. I bet there are lots of facts (funny or not) we don't know about the show... The movie sounds interesting I wish I could watch it... but wrong country once again lol!

I just don't think I can jump on board with that one. Remember when Lifetime was our only source for Golden Girls? My, how the mighty have fallen...

It was just coming on the other night, I was all settled into bed in my pjs to watch it, but then my husband came in and wasn't quite as enthusiastic about it as I was. Sadly, I changed the channel so he wouldn't have to suffer. Agh! But I know (I hope and pray!) it will be on again. Next time I will lock the bedroom door! ps- the 20 minutes or so that I did see of it was SUPER cheesy!

But there's always plenty of repeat showings with most Lifetime movies (usually)! I still haven't seen it but if it's on again the hubby is just going to have to suffer. I started dvr'ing Full House episodes and it's driving him crazy lol.

I admit it...
Fuller House came on Netflix today, and I have binge-watched all day. I'm on episode 11 of 13.
It's cheesey, corny and the laughs are predictable... just like the original show. It's good, light humor. The middle son is a freakin' riot!

i am a big fan. this new season kinda suck in my opinion, so many choreographed dances....but still, great. i like that the original cast made a real comeback and not some weird replacement. here is my collection:

I saw Fuller House trailers! I enjoyed the original show I have to admit that if Kimmy hasn't changed a bit I had troubles finding out who was DJ or who was Stephanie LOL! I need new glasses LOL! Uncle Jessie is still the hunk of the month! I wish we could see Danny more!

A second season is scheduled I'm glad Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are part of the cast this time I'm sure fans missed them a great deal on season 1. I've read some very bad reviews about season 1. Reminded me of Dallas 2012... Unfortunately! Some kind of Déjà vu. Spin off you try to tape 20 or 30 years later an original successful show often disappoint fans because first all orginal actors do not take part of the new show and second of all 20 years have passed so the general atmosphere isn't the same anymore I guess... fans always expect too much I think...
