How's that diet going? What's your weight-lifting status?
Group encouragement is great!

*sigh* I'm so out of shape, I really need to start working out more at home. I'd like to start jogging as well because I get short of breath really easy, but I truly hate jogging so I don't think I'll ever truly pick it up.

Started using a fitbit- a little wrist band monitor that tracks your daily steps and how much/how well you sleep each night. You can follow your progress on a dashboard on the fitbit website. It's kinda cool- you can follow friends' progress online and have friendly competitions, send messages, set goals, add different features to track like weight and water intake. It's actually motivated me to start running again. The sleep tracking has been depressing though- I'm averaging 4 hours a night and waking up 20-30x a night. No wonder I feel exhausted all the time! Hopefully the running will improve the sleep.

Paula, where did you buy the fitbit? Was it expencive? I hope running will improve your sleep! For me the spinning (spin cycling) lessons are doing the trick, though sometimes I train too hard (interval training) and my body is wide a wake when I should go to sleep.

Monitoring the sleep sounds very interesting, I should look into that. I have no problem sleeping but I do wake up a lot.

www.fitbit.comMy sister got us each one, about $100. It's not the most stylish wristband but it's comfortable and I forget Im wearing it. There's another, similar tracking device called a misfit that I think is about the same price and looks more like a watch. They have a few other designs too: www.misfit.com. I'd probably have gone with the misfit if I had the choice.

Does anyone use an app for tracking food/calories and water intake? I've found a couple, but I'm piecing things together rather than an all-in-one.

MyFitnessPal is a great tool for tracking calories and what you eat. When I lost a ton of weight almost 3 years ago now that was my go to app. I sort of stopped using it because I started learning about portions and what I was eating and didn't really need it. Although I like to use it once and a while to keep myself in check. I go to school for Exercise Science at the moment so I am learning all sorts of things about fitness and the body and it's great!

Resumed with a personal trainer a couple days ago. It will be weekly, but I think it will be good in the long run. Trying to get to gym 3-4x a week, plus the personal training.
I'm starting feel like Ham Lushboum, which isn't good!

Got sick this morning mid-way through my 6am workout with a trainer. Going to the doctor on Monday - concerned there are things going on that I am not aware of. Asking for prayers and good vibes, everyone.
