Even in a few of the "dud" episodes (Empty Nest, anyone?), there is almost always a special moment of humor.
Here is one of my favorites - the Danny Thomas/lesbian exchange:
What are some of your favorites?

Today - February 22, 1992 - Golden Girls aired a classic episode... Journey to the Center of Attention. We finally were able to step foot into the Rusty Anchor.
Here are two classic scenes from that episode!

Just searching for this clip and thinking of it almost put me to tears. Such a beuatiful scene and brilliantly acted by Betty. Definitely one of my favorite scenes in the history of The Golden Girls.

My favorite scene is where Sophia convinces her friend to not take the suicide pills. It is one of the most amazingly acted and well written scenes in the series and it shows that tender side that makes Golden Girls not just another funny sitcom, but one with heart.
A close second for me is the "little eyeballs staring back at me" scene in "Sick and Tired"

Today - May 9 - is the anniversary of the series finale of Golden Girls.
Who can forget those last few moments on Richmond Street?
Of course, Sophia as a southern "Mammy"...
Sometimes I wonder if this wouldn't have been a better finale... at least in concept.

And there it is.... You showed that damn episode. When Rose says "What happens when there's only one of us left?"
HOW DID BETTY KNOW????
I always cry now at this point - until Sophia cracks her comeback.
