This is my favorite "new" show, and it has been given a fourth season, starting this fall. I really like this humor, the sets, the characters, just about everything about it. I think it has that classic sitcom vibe to it, which many of todays shows are lacking. I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Melissa McCarthy, I think she's absolutely hilarious! I think it all started with The Heat, which I felt was one of the funniest movies last year. Any other fans of this show?

I Like it. i wasn't a fan of the all "new" Mike and Molly, because they turned the show from a a new sitcom to a 90s sitcom.
Spoiler : Also, molly pregnancy magically disappears. which was sad.

We're watching season two of this show now. God, I love the Vince Moranto character! He's like a younger, filthier Sophia Petrillo! No filter at all.

We finished the second season of Mike & Molly in just 4 days! Another good season. One thing that bothered me though:
Molly's voice changed nearing the end of the season, I have no idea why. Melissa sounds like she does in movies like Identity Thief and The Heat. I thought in those movies she just made her voice sound like that because she was much louder and playing sort of obnoxious in those movies. I hope she doesn't keep sounding like that in the third season and onwards, because I think Molly comes off more whiny and mean this way when she's really a very sweet character.
Won't be long until we found out as we immiediately ordered season 3 which should arrive tomorrow!

Melissa was sick I think during the last few episodes, resulting in her voice change.
I detest the "NEW" Mike and Molly, where she was a teacher, and they were trying for a baby. Now let's all laugh at the silly situations we can put Molly in...
So sad the show lost direction. I loved the first three seasons.

She sounds better in season 3, but still a bit of that voice is there when she's loud. I avoided your last two paragraphs as we're still on season 3. Too bad you guys seem to think it takes a turn for the worse. Right now it's a very enjoyable, traditional sitcom with two very lovable lead characters.

I won't spoil it - sorry.
First three seasons, love love LOVE the show. I think Katy Mixon is very talented as Molly's sister. It really is a great ensemble cast.

Well, we've watched about 10 episodes of season 4 now. Just like I thought the problem would be - some idiot executive went "Gee, that Melissa McCarthy is so popular in movies these days we should rework the show so that it mostly revolves around her goofing around while giving the rest of the cast less to do. Yeah, that sounds like a great idea, DOIIIII!"
It's still pretty funny, but it has lost that feeling of the first three seasons IMO. I think it was a cheap trick to pull on faithful viewers, usually a change like this is what you do when you're desperate for ideas, which usually happen when a show hits 7+ seasons. What bothers me the most is that Molly's new persona doesn't make any sense. In season 2 or maybe even season 3 she ran for Vice Principal but when visited by a former student decided she didn't want to become Vice Principal, she already was what she wanted to be - a teacher. Now we're supposed to believe it's not good enough for her which causes this huge identity crisis? Give me a break.
I did like the Rear Window episode, if only because Rear Window is my #1 thriller of all time and my favorite Jimmy Stewart and Hitchcock movie. It also had Christian Clemenson who brilliantly played Jerry Espenson on Boston Legal.

It's really been treated shabbily by CBS and the producers.
The last few seasons have been delayed due to Melissa'a movie production schedules, and now this has been announced to be the last season - and SHORTENED! And moved to a killer spot on Wednesday nights here in North America.
VERY unhappy how this show has worked out.

Was very sad to hear it's been cancelled. I always thought it would end because Melissa would want to focus on movies, but she stuck with it all these years despite being the biggest female comedian star in Hollywood. Kudos for her. Hoping we get season 5 here in Sweden soon.
