And we can guess who did that... God Roseanne should know if you're contracted to a network you cant call someone a racial slur. ABC did what they had to. I'm sorry but that's her fault. Of course it was a ratings hit, but sometimes morals over money and ratings..

Of course it was a ratings hit, but sometimes morals over money and ratings.. It's disappointing in so many ways. Roseanne has never been "right" - her outbursts and reputation during the original run of the program were stuff of legends. However, this was an opportunity to revive a much-loved television series, and bring a lot of smiles - and thought-provoking discussion - to network television. Instead, Roseanne pushed a limit, and hurt so many people - her fans, her costars, the crew, etc. She's going to live with this mark for a long time (think of Kramer from "Seinfeld," who made a similarly racial comment in a comedy club - the guy hasn't done too much since). I am not a fan of "The Talk," but I will be curious how Sara Gilbert responds to this on the show.

i think this the end for Barr. she was contracted to a network and everything she says reflected on that network... ABC had every right to do what they did. Barr now needs to reflect and take a break from Hollywood.

I agree she cost 200 people their job and slated for another season but their are consequences for your actions, whether your famous or not, whether you agree or not , but she was under contract with ABC and should've known you just cant tweet stuff out like that, what they did was right imo.

I'd have to respectfully disagree with you guys. What she wrote was horrible, but I really don't think it's worth ending an entire show and get hundreds of people out of a job. She apologized (and for the record has said she thought Valerie was white, but who knows if that's true) and should keep apologizing and make amends, but I really think this was too drastic. Had it not been an outspoken Trump supporter I'm not sure the outcome would have been the same.
Samantha Bee called the president's daughter a feckless C-word for posting a photo with her holding her beautiful baby. Bee's bit was written, taped and aired, it wasn't a spur of the moment thing. She apologized and her job was saved while lots of celebrities cheered her on, because of course they did. I see a clear bias.

Well long story short the only thing I have to say is that we'll see what happens with The Conners next fall at least the rest of the cast won't have to pay the price for what has been said and done. I really enjoyed the new season it was so good to have everybody back especially Jacky and her mom. I thought so much of Sophia and Shaddy Pines while watching the episode about the retirement home.

Anyone read that Barr had how many failed apology videos? In her last I think she had a breakdown. proves that I think she regrets what she had done.

What do you guys think of the way they killed off Roseanne? To me it was quite strange THEY overdid LOL! Of course she had to deal with unbearable knee pain in season 10 but still... They pushed the envelope way too far... Anyway I've noticed some great and funny lines in Keep On Trucking especially when Darlene asks Becky : Can't you stay vertical for just one more day? Jackie's triangle system cracked me up too. Now how we plug the coffee maker in??! Good question Darlene yeah!

I sent you an email, but never heard back... so glad to see you pop in! I thought the type of death Roseanne (the character) experienced was perfectly tied to her issues in the revised season. There was definitely a drug problem, and using that as a catalyst to recognize her absence made sense to me. The jokes definitely felt more forced, however. I don't see the series going beyond this season... but maybe I'm wrong. I do like DJ's wife - I think she'll be an asset and fun counter to the thinking...

I haven't even watched the new spin-off yet.. I also believe that without Barr the show wont last this season. tbh
