I'm sorry I've been AWOL recently. The new job has kicked in and there has been a lot of travel and training. Hopefully I can start taking advantage of what I know (so far) and knock some things out to make a good impression.
Ian - I hope your school is recognizing the situation, and getting with improving things. It may be time to get hard-nosed and get some legal assistance as well.
Tomorrow I am participating in my first ever 5k and Mud Run. I will be run-walking the 5k (no real pre-training), and simply hope to complete the Mud Run. It's going to be rainy and cold (50 degrees), so I really hope I don't get sick as a result. Wish me luck!
Don't forget - Sunday is the kick-off to our annual Christmas Card Exchange!

I don't know what it is when you get into a minor row with your own father...

I'am sick as a dog. And believe me or not, unlike Blanche, I do not look good. I have a nasty flu, and it drives me mad.
I was planning to arrange a party tonight, but had to cancel everything. I should also represent my master's thesis within two weeks, but I haven't been able to do/write a thing. Tonight I will try to read some theory books.
Autumn has been extraordinary sunny and warm this year. Snowy winter is at stake! And without snow, it gets pretty dark here in southern Finland. (In north, where Santa lives, it's even worse: there we have a long period of darkness during which the sun stays below the horizon.)
Happy weekend, everyone! Stay healthy!

Feel better soon Jacques and you'll throw a party some other time as Blanche would say! Don't stay away from Paracetamol pills, tablets or liquid! That's my advice!

Thanks for your sympathy and piece of advice, Nougi! Made me already feel so much better! Blanche: Dorothy, where's my heating pad? Dorothy: How should I know? [Blanche lifts a cord running under Dorothy's blanket] Blanche: Well, if this isn't it, I'd like to know what other electrical appliance you're using under that blanket.

Feel better soon, Jarkko! I had a lousy cold 2 weeks ago and it really knocked me for six as I don't suffer them very frequently. Lots of blankets, heating pads, painkillers and funny TV shows! <3

Thanks folks. There have been developments....negative ones unfortunately. I had a meeting with the principal last week. She's on a witch hunt, going after me for everything I've ever done in the past. And my union rep is not being as strong as I need her to be. The principal is asking me questions that she's not allowed to.
Monday, I have to go to the union office and request a new representative. UGH not my favourite thing - confrontation.
Sigh
So how is everyone else?

Lots of blankets, heating pads, painkillers and funny TV shows! <3 Thank you for your wishes, Sam! I'm feeling so much better this Friday. I think it doesn't surprise anyone, that I had to watch The Flu -episode. Dorothy: Rose, I took your stupid cup and you know why? Because I feel lousy and being mean to you makes me feel better! Rose: Dorothy Zbornak, you can go straight to H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks! Dorothy: "Double Hockey Sticks"? Btw, I had to check the meaning for "H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks" from the urban dictionary. One learn's something new every day!

Trying to stay positive... The world just seems to be rotten, and I feel like it's only me against it.
Depression sucks.

I was sooo excited to have 4 days off for our Thanksgiving holiday! I even made my first pies and pie crust (apple and pumpkin). Only I got sick and spent most of it in bed. At least I got to binge watch the girls, which greatly improved my mood when I wasn't in a NyQuil haze. And I remember thinking, isn't it amazing that I can feel so bad but still look so good? Ha!

... Getting ready for Christmas. With barely any snow, and temperatures in the 60s, it just doesn't feel like winter, or Christmas time. Trying to stay positive, which has been a challenge this year. Still have wrapping to do tonight, which I should start soon, and going to dinner at my mother's home later.
Stay safe, everyone, and Merry Christmas to all!

Can't believe Christmas is almost over, when did it even begin? No snow whatsoever, lots of school stuff and working inbetween every now and then, also taking care of Charlie on my off days.
Today we had a nice time with the family, got some nice pics of little Charlie opening his first ever Christmas presents, got some fun stuff I really enjoy, too. Good day all around! Merry Christmas, everyone!
