I just stumbled upon a LOT of Empty Nest episodes on YouTube. Take a look!
A fan of quality, classic television comedies and holiday specials...
The Golden Girls, The Facts of Life, Roseanne, Will and Grace, The Wonder Years, Burns and Allen, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Are You Being Served?, Family Guy, South Park, Designing Women, Dallas, The Twilight Zone, Original Scooby-Doo, Murphy Brown, The Big Bang Theory...
Talk to me about one of these shows, and I'm all yours...
YES!!!!! Several episodes in order from the first season at a glance (I don't like skipping episodes on a show, I like to view it progress). Thanks, Jim!
Blanche: Rose tells us you're gettin' married. Sven: Yes, and I hope I'm good at it. I don't have that much experience vith vomen. Blanche: A big, strong, handsome thing like you? Get out of here! Sven: Vell, it vas nice meeting all of you.
I've really been enjoying watching Empty Nest on YouTube. I already have Seasons 1-2 from when they were aired on abc1 some years ago, so I started on Season 3 a few weeks back and now I've just arrived at Season 4. The first episode of S4 was like a flashback to The Golden Girls as Barbra decided she wanted to have a baby - by artificial insemination. The scene in the sperm bank was very funny, much like GG's Remembering why I love Empty Nest all those years back when it originally aired.
I watched an episode of EN a couple of nights ago and the priest that Dorothy had a crush on in Forgive Me Father, Frank Leahy, starred.....as a PRIEST He must be typecast for that kind of role, haha!
Dreading reaching the end of Season 5, which is as far as the EN playlists go right now. Hoping the person who uploaded them plans on putting the other two series up. Presumably he is recording them from Laff TV so fingers crossed he will
I must say that EN definitely grew from Season 3 onwards. While I enjoyed S1 and S2, it really started hitting its stride from S3. I used to find Carol quite annoying and whiny in the early seasons, but her character seems to have developed nicely and I love her physical comedy.
I'm with you, Sam. S3 has always been my favorite, and S4, too. There just seemed to be a bit of a shift for the better around that time, especially with the Carol character.
S5 is a bit uneven with Kristy's departure and the new characters being added, but the writing that year was strong. (Unfortunately, the writing suffered the last two seasons, especially the last one.)
