There were a lot of guest actors and actresses on the show during the 7 seasons of the show (plus the one of Golden Palace), some are no longer with us. This is the thread for announcements of passing guest actors & actresses.
I just read that Stephen Lee, who played Dwayne on season 2 episode Vacation, passed away at the age of only 58. He gave me one of the biggest laughs from that episode, when he reacted to Dorothy who announced she was going to call her mother, by laughing and saying "Your mother is still alive?!"

From USA Today... Ellen Albertini Dow, who rapped her way into our hearts in 1998 movie The Wedding Singer, has died. She was 101. Los Angeles' Pierce College Theater department announced the Monday death on Facebook. Eugene Dow, Ellen's husband, founded the theater department there. Dow's agent Juliet Green confirmed the death to Deadline. Albertini graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. and M.A. in theater from Cornell University, according to IMDB.com. She moved to New York, and studied and worked with the legendary coaches including Martha Graham, Michael Shurtleff, Uta Hagen and Marcel Marceau. She appeared in films including Sister Act and Patch Adams, and on many classic TV series including Murphy Brown, The Golden Girls, The Wonder Years, ER, Will & Grace and Seinfeld.Dow was also a theater instructor, mostly devoted to children's and musical theater, at Pierce College for many years, says the school. She directed a production of The Fantasticks in the late 60s, and the school honored her with a remounting of the musical in the fall of 2014. In The Wedding Singer, she praised for her rendition of Rapper's Delight. **************** Dow played Sophia's friend who had dementia, and was "kidnapped" from the retirement home. Runaway wheelchair! Runaway wheelchair!

Awww, I was actually thinking of her the other day, wondering if she was still with us. She's been playing the "old, funny lady" for nearly 30 years and always enjoyed her. 101 is quite up there.

Pat Harrington, Jr., who played John (and many other names), Rose's date in "Dateline: Miami" passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Harrington was probably most-famous for his role as "Schneider" on "One Day At A Time" in the 1970s and 1980s.

RIP Mr Harrington! I don't know the show you mentioned Jim I have to browse the net to figure out what it is about... It's quite strange knowing I'm a big 70's and 80's fan regarding TV shows... Maybe it has never been aired in France...?

Debbie Reynolds, who played Truvy, passed away 12/28/2016 (one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher). She may very well have died from a broken heart...

Re Ellen Albertini Dow and Rapper's Delight: I'd only ever heard of the original version, but I clicked on her version. Wow! Love it! But on a sad note, sad to read that she's since passed. Rest in peace... ⚘
