I hope it's nothing serious, Jim. I totally agree with Nougi, do NOT Google anything, it just makes things much, much worse. I'm speaking from experience.
Good luck!

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.
Right now the diagnosis is a wide range of allergies. Molds, weeds, mildew, trees, grasses, etc. Unfortunately, the dogs are a problem as well, but not as high a level. We are trying nasal spray and Allergra (OTC allergy meds), and may go the route of allergy shots in the near future. I'm not a shot fan (I don't pass out, but I can't look), but if I could feel a noticeable difference it would be worth it.
So, aside from the terrible cold I'm fighting, the allergy thing is kicking my rear as well. (And immediately my mind goes to Blanche - "Set the scene... have we been drinkin'?").

At least you have a diagnosis that's already something Jim and not as serious as you thought it would be so like I told you don't listen to what everybody says if everybody was a doctor you'd know!

I'm glad it was nothing very serious, Jim and hope you feel better about that now with your diagnosis.

While it did not come to my area, there was snow in northern Indiana over the weekend. No accumulation, but there was snow! In Chicago, the snow was the third-earliest report since ~1881.
Weather forecasts predict a rough winter again. I am on vacation this Friday, and all of next week. I'm going to do some preparedness to be set for any power failures. This is one of my projects to try:

Ugh - I meant to post that in the weather thread. Oh well. We do have blue skies today, and it was a "freak" snow, and far from a storm. But it is a-comin'!

Got my computer back again, after putting off handing it in to the experts. Kind of pointless, to be honest. I found out the hard drive was the problem, it needs to be exchanged and a reboot of Windows is also needed. It would cost something like 250 dollars. I've had this damn thing for not even two years and it's already quitting on me. I would never have gotten a laptop if it weren't for the great space saver.
I decided to let it run its course instead. Everything is saved should it crash and it only cost about double what they are asking for, for that price I could just buy a new one instead.

... working on my Christmas list. Getting older, don't need as much... but it's still nice to get stuff under the tree. I have always been fine with a six-pack of socks, but I want each pair wrapped up under the tree.
