We had a bit of ice overnight, as the rain and temperatures caused some slick travel. Fortunately today has been warmer, but the afternoon and evening are going to be cold!
Last year we had the polar vortex come through, and snow became part of the daily experience. This winter we have barely had any accumulation... and I miss the snow. I don't want it through April, but a snow day or two, and some white stuff to build a snow man, would be nice.

Hoping our friends in New England (NY, NJ, CT, Maine, etc.) are well-prepped for the NorEaster coming through this week. Expectations of 20+ inches of snow, 60+ mph winds, blizzard-like conditions... not much fund if not prepared. Stay warm and safe, all!

Heard about the blizzard, I echo Jim's words, stay safe everyone!
Today there were snowflakes falling the size of my fist!

Here we are in February, in Indiana, and we finally received our first significant snowfall of the winter season - and it was about 1.5" of snow.
Nothing. Lame. Weak. Tiny snowmen could barely be created with this.
Last year was the Polar Vortex, and we got pounded by snow. This year it's like the pendulum swung in the complete opposite direction.
Oh well... maybe we will still get some before the end of the season.

A bit of snow coming down today... the fall to the ground is prettier than what hit. No real accumulation, but I will take what I can get!

We are finally getting some significant snow in southern Indiana - at least 3-4" has fallen, and about 20 miles south there is 7" on the ground. My sister lives in Kentucky, about 175 miles south, and her area has seen a foot of snow already today.
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

It's bitter cold here this week- single digits. Spring is a month away and we have yet to see more than an inch or two of the white stuff. But at this point I'm just dreaming of warmer weather and sunshine.

We got another eight inches last night and this morning. Crazy snow!!
I wish we could have that in November and December, for the holidays... Not a white St Patrick's Day!! :-)

It's windy as hell here. Just about the worst thing I know is windy weather, especially in the morning when you're waiting for your bus. Cold, tired, just waiting and waiting. Gah!
