Is anyone else out there re-watching shows after an extended absence, and remembering how great (or bad) the show was the first time? This weekend I was snowed in, and spent Friday night to Monday morning at home. I have watched all my Mary Tyler Moore Show DVDs, and gone through The Dick Van Dyke Show on Netflix as well... so, I hunted for a new series to dive into. I found a dark show - Six Feet Under - that I have not watched in several years, and picked up on the series Sunday evening. If you are only a comedy fan, this is not the show for you. But, if you like great writing and some demented characters, this is it. I'm only about six episodes in at the moment, but I am quickly becoming hooked on the stories all over again. Anyone else reliving the past with some old TV shows?

I've recently re- discovered Newhart because it's been on a couple of nights a week recently on one of the classic tv channels. I thought it was boring when I was younger, but seeing it again now that I'm older I just love it! I may see if DVDs are available to binge watch without commercials. I'm so glad to see so many old school shows being replayed on several of the channels here. Hoping to see more of that trend.

They had one of the best finales in sitcom history. Bob and Suzanne talk about that last episode...

Ahhh thanks for sharing the clips! And for reminding me about the finale- I had totally forgotten and can't wait to see it again.

Six Feet Under was bringing me down... So, I'm now dividing time between Mama's Family and Family Ties. In Season One for both series, so it's enjoyable to catch things from the start.
I have also found The Twilight Zone on Netflix, but most of that series I have already seen.
Did I mention that I ain't paying for cable, which makes this all even better!!

I watched a bunch of episodes of Melrose Place yesterday. I used to live for that show when it was on! Seeing it again after all this time, I thought it was pretty bad lol. Waaaay over the top with the drama and crazy plot lines. But still a fun escape!
