We are in the early stages still, but I wanted to see if anyone is having trouble with the forums at all. It does not appear to be, but I wanted to check.
Also, if you have requests/suggestions, please let me know. I know Jacques mentioned the user status updates on Couch Potatoes, and I'm checking to see if that is something I can add on our forum.
Glad to have our group still in-tact!

Something I learned today (Sam's birthday) is that birthdays do not automatically show up on the home page of the forum. Users need to manually check the calendar to see if there is a birthday.
In checking with ProBoards, a simple birthday view is not available yet, but in the works. So, for now, when it is a member's birthday, please speak up!

Another Proboard forum I was a member of could have a bar at the top of the front page, where different quotes could be added and roll by. Is this something that would be nice to have on the forum? I think it was pretty neat, we could all help to add our favorite GG quotes.

The news feed has been enabled and updated. I added four things to it, but let me know if you can think of other things to include.

A recently discovered issue (thanks to our members) should be resolved today. Several comments have been made that when typing a word, a smilie -> <- would appear instead. I could not figure out the problem on the back end, because the default smilies are all simple names like what I had used. I checked with the ProBoards Support, and determined that I needed to rename the smilies to have colons directly in front and behind the word. That way, if someone types Rudolph, they get the word. But, if the word :Rudolph : is typed (colon spacing is intentional), then pops up. Please let me know if you see any further instances of this, but I think it is taken care of now!

I discovered that our smilies were not always displaying, depending on the screen setting. That meant that some of the smilies would not appear in the search. I have modified that table, so everything should appear now. Please let me know if you have any troubles - with smilies, or anything else on the forums.
