As most of you know, I'm a huge fan of ALF, the sitcom that aired for four seasons between 1986-1990. It ran for 102 episodes and is a cult classic. I like ALF and The Golden Girls equally, no matter how much I try, I can't separate them. They both have that magical 80's feel that's just so warm and cosy. I'm such a big fan of the show and its main character that I have a very large collection of ALF merchandise, hundreds of items, and I don't see an end to it due to the massive amount of merchandise that was sold when ALF was on the air. I also run an ALF fansite that I worked on for years, which you can visit here: alfanatic.webs.com/ It's very old school in its design, but I intended to make it that way to honor all the ALF sites that have come and gone, most of them from the 90's and had the same look and feel as my site now has. It's loaded with tons of exclusive info and other fun stuff. Any other fans of the ol' ALFer made it over here to the new forum?

I never got to see the end of ALF - did the furry dude ever get home or did he stay with the family and Lucky the cat?

I never got to see the end of ALF - did the furry dude ever get home or did he stay with the family and Lucky the cat? The last episode was a cliffhanger, ALF was supposed to have a fifth season, but wa cancelled at the last minute. A 1996 TV-movie, Project: ALF gave the fans some closure. I highly recommend you to get all seasons and the TV-movie!

Ok I feel a little funny admitting it - but I LOVE Alf! So I'm super excited to see the show coming to ME tv sometime soon (I have to find out exactly when and set the dvr)! I miss that cat-eating alien and his antics.

I miss that cat-eating alien and his antics. No need to feel funny admitting that at all. It's not a kids show as some believe, it's a lot more than that. ALF rules!

I’ve been rewatching Alf since hearing the sad news of Max Wright’s passing. I always forget how much I love this show until I watch it again. I feel so much nostalgia for some of these shows as I get older myself, and feel like they represent a simpler time and a less complicated world where we could just have fun, be silly and laugh. Little Sven I love your Alf fan page!

Agree about simpler times, I think technology advances far faster than man does.

Aaaah, fellow ALF fan here! I grew up with the show. It absolutely SHATTERED me when I heard of Max Wright's passing. Hit me right in the childhood. I guess part of me had still hoped for a revival of the series, for just one or two episodes, just to make up for that awful final episode and the cliffhanger. (I ignore that movie. No Tanners = this ain't ALF)
Ah well, I still have my ALF DVDs. I also have audio cassette tape versions of ALF, they were a HUGE hit here in Germany, it's basically just the audio from the episodes with a narrator who explains what's going on and music. I think every kid my age had at least one of them, lol.
But yeah, huge ALF fan here. The show STILL manages to make me laugh even though I've seen the episodes a zillion times.

I knew you were German when I saw your profile pic, I have that same GG set! I know Germans are crazy for ALF, the show was huge there and still has a devoted fanbase. Are you or have you ever been a member of the forum on ALFtv.com? www.alftv.com/community/

I used to be a member at a German ALF board but I stopped going there after a while because there were no posts anymore. *sad* I'll check that forum out, I'd love to have some more ALF conversations! And yeah, the show was HUGE over here indeed. I think every single person around my age can throw at least one ALF quote around if you ask them, haha!
