Yesterday I received the soundtrack score to It's a Wonderful Life by Dimitri Tiomkin. This soundtrack was released a week or so ago and shockingly enough is the FIRST time the score has EVER gotten an official release. Quite shocking since it's one of the great American classics, with music by a very accomplished composer. It is limited to 1200 copies and was sold out during the pre-order stage. I'm very happy to have added it to my soundtrack collection.

This week I got The Naked Gun trilogy CD set, signed by the composer Ira Newborn, and the score to Escape From L.A.

Been wanting these for a LONG time, as an 80's action film AND score fan, these are some of the best ever made! Intrada (a soundtrack label) had a sale where everything was 30% off, so I jumped on them. Unfortunately, my computer is still on the fritz, was supposed to have it fixed some weeks ago but haven't been able to for a while now, and I can't listen to them without windows freezing up every 2 minutes.

The latest CD I bought was SUEDE's Bloodsports. Love it, love it, love it. For me the best album ever is Suede's Dog Man Star. It's beyond this world. If you've ever read Franz Kafka, you know what I mean.

I recently received the soundtracks for Twins and Over the Top. These two are song albums mostly, but that's ok because the soundtracks are so iconic in my book, I know the songs by heart because of the many, many times I saw these movies as a kid!

The last CD I downloaded from iTunes is Don Williams album The Journey with a special wahoo for the song Lay Down Beside Me, Country Music really is my thing!
