We had this thread on Couch Potatoes, but it might be worth re-starting it again.
We all know there were many, many cases of one actor playing multiple roles on TGG. Today I caught "Second Motherhood," and the first plumber was the guy who played "Toto" when Dorothy was looking for a job.
Of course, Harold Gould may be the most popular - he played Arnie, Rose's cruise date, and then later he became Miles Webber.
Let's start the discussion up again... Name the two roles, one actor that you catch on the show!

Dominic, Gina's father in Foreign Exchange, and Vincenzo, the italian carpenter in Rose's Big Adventure were played by the same actor- Vito Scotti ( I love google!). I watched these episodes multiple times before I realized it was the same guy.
And Gina's mom is also Frieda Claxton, the mean old woman who wanted the tree cut down in It's a Miserable Life (Nan Martin).......

Chick Vennera played Kid Pepe in Fiddler on the Ropes, and twice portrayed Enrique Mas. (Although he might a.rgue that he played both "Enrique Mas" and "Enrrrrrique Mas!")
(Possible board bug: I can't type the word "argue" within brackets without the arguing smilie appearing. lol)

Hi - new member here; I have been lurking around for a while as I adore TGG but thought it was about time I joined and posted! There are a further 3 actors who have appeared in different roles. Steven Gilborn played Howard in the episode Ebb Tide in series 5 and then he appeared as a priest in The Popes Ring in series 7.
Jerry Hardin was Professor Cooper who tried to seduce Blanche in season 1 and then he appeared as one of her boyfriends in season 4 (I think he owned a pet neutering service!). Paul Dooley played George in Empty Nest and then also appeared in the same season as Isaac Newton (Dorothy and Blanche have been writing to him pretending to be Rose and then he turns up and they all go to a dinner).
I feel sure there must be one or two more!

Meg Wyllie-
She played the friend of Sophia in "The days and nights of Sophia petrillo' episode. She played the crazy ex wife Myra who was grassing Rose after she went on a date with Myra husbands when miles was out of town in 'There goes the bride'. She played candice ( I think that was her name) who asks Sophia to marry her husband so he's not alone when she dies from cancer and she played a lost mother trying to get back to her daughter grave after she escapes from her nursing hole and Rose helps her in 'mothers day'
So I think she recurred the most

Although he didn't play the same character twice
Casey Sander who currently plays Bernadettes Father in The Big Bang Theory also played Sven in the episode ' A visit from little Sven' !

the woman dying who wants Sophia to marry her husband was Betty Garrett (from On The Town with Frank Sinatra/Gene Kelly).
the woman who escapes the home to visit her daughter's grave on Mother's day was Geraldine Fitzgerald (from "Wuthering Heights" and her own radio program in NYC during the 50s when i was young my mother listened to it everyday.) She also played Sophia's friend who wants to commit suicide while Sophia is there with her.
